Prior to the commencement of mining within the Mooka Creek and associated floodplain to the north-east (upstream) of a buffer line established above, the lessee submitting a hydrological assessment of Mooka Creek to the satisfaction of an Envirnmental Officer of Department of Mines and Petroleum in consultation with relevant government agencies. The purpose of the hydrological assessment being to determine whether mining may have adverse effects on permanent upstream water pools which constitute the Mooka Springs Priority Ecological Community (PEC).
